Our team of experienced coaches is dedicated to developing the skills and talents of aspiring ski racers. With a passion for the sport and a commitment to excellence, they provide personalized training and guidance to help athletes reach their full potential.

Owner/ Executive Director
Kevin R. Malkin (PASEF/ Camelback Ski Team)
With over a decade of coaching experience since 2009, he is a passionate and dedicated leader in the world of alpine ski racing. A USSS Level 200 certified coach, he currently serves as the Head Coach and Executive Director of the PASEF/Camelback Ski Team, where they are committed to developing young athletes and helping them reach their fullest potential. Actively involved in PARA and NJ HS racing, he brings deep knowledge and enthusiasm to every aspect of the sport. As an Atomic Pro, he also represents one of the leading brands in ski racing, staying on the cutting edge of equipment and performance. Beyond the slopes, he has coached high school lacrosse/ skiing for 15 years and football for 10 years, demonstrating his commitment to youth athletics. Known for his motivational philosophy, “Be The Best” has become a mantra for the athletes he guides, inspiring excellence, discipline, and a love for the sport.

Andrew Backlund (Jack Frost/ Big Boulder Ski Team)
With over 16 years of coaching experience, Andrew has dedicated his career to nurturing young athletes in the sport of skiing. After beginning his journey as a USSS racer and transitioning to collegiate racing at Ithaca College, he now proudly serves as the Head Coach of JFBB, very place where his passion for the sport began. As a USSS Level 100 Coach currently pursuing his Level 200 certification, along with being a USSS Level 3 Technical Delegate, he is committed to helping athletes reach their full potential on the slopes. Together, we for excellence and foster a love for skiing that lasts a lifetime.

Agla Bjornsdottir (PASEF/ Camelback Ski Team)
As a dedicated coach since 2021, she brings a wealth of experience and passion to work. Balancing life as a mother of three, she understands the importance of nurturing physical and mental well-being. My background as a member of the Icelandic Junior Olympics and the Icelandic National Team has shaped my coaching, while my certifications as a USSS Level 100 Coach and Health and Life Coach allow me to empower others to achieve their personal best. Together, we can unlock your potential and reach your goals!

ARC Coach
Keith Dickerson (PASEF/ Camelback Ski Team)
With a coaching career that began in 2007, he brings over 15 years of experience and passion to alpine ski racing. A USSS-certified Alpine Coach Level 200 and Alpine Official, he combines technical expertise with a lifelong dedication to the sport. As a former member of the New York State Ski Team from 1984 to 1992, he competed at the USSS Eastern Junior Olympics from 1986 to 1992 and raced on the FIS Eastern Cup circuit between 1990 and 1992. Beyond the slopes, he is a seasoned educator and mentor, currently serving as a high school chemistry teacher. Their coaching extends to the field and track as well, with 25 seasons as a varsity and JV soccer coach, 5 seasons coaching cross country, and 1 in field hockey. He is known for their commitment to youth development, blending academic insight with athletic discipline to help student-athletes thrive both on and off the mountain.

Bill Jenkins (Jack Frost/ Big Boulder Ski Team)
He has been skiing since early childhood and coaching since 2020. Passionate about alpine racing, he is committed to helping athletes of all levels build confidence and improve both on and off the slopes. He creates a positive, supportive environment that emphasizes safety, skill development, and a strong mental attitude. His coaching style blends technical instruction with personalized feedback, ensuring each racer feels valued and reaches their goals. He is currently working toward his USSS Level 100 certification.

Damon LaSalle (WPRC (7 Springs) Ski Team)
​He is a dedicated and experienced ski coach with 17 years of coaching at WPRC (Seven Springs) under PARA, working with athletes across the U12, U14, and U16 levels. His coaching philosophy is rooted in years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of athlete development. A certified USSS Alpine Level 100 coach, he combines technical knowledge with a passion for the sport. Prior to coaching, he spent 12 years as a competitive ski racer, including 6 years in PARA—earning a spot on the 1999 State Team—and 4 years as a key member of the Penn State Ski Team’s Men’s A-Team. His background as both an athlete and coach gives him a unique perspective that helps athletes grow both on and off the hill.

Carrie Scheetz (Blue Mountain Racing)
With a coaching career spanning over three decades, she served as the Coach for Alpine Racing at Jack Frost from 1981 to 1996, followed by her role as the Head U16 Coach at Blue Mountain Race Team since 1996. In addition to her passion for skiing, she is a retired Health and Physical Education Teacher and have coached various sports, including Cross Country, Softball, and Track. Her credentials include USSS Level 200, Technical Delegate TD 1, and PSIA Level 3 / AASI Level1. Currently, she also serves as the PARA Regional Director, continuing her commitment to developing athletes.

Adam Skahan (Jack Frost/ Big Boulder Ski Team)
He grew up in Philadelphia and has been coaching alpine skiing for over 23 years. A former athlete himself, he was a dedicated member of the Jack Frost/Big Boulder Ski Team and a three-time State Team member. He brings a wealth of experience to the hill, having coached a wide range of age groups throughout his career. He is an active member of USSS, serves as an official, and is currently working toward his USSS Level 100 coaching certification. He especially enjoys coaching his two children, who compete in the U14 and U16 categories, and brings that same energy and enthusiasm to all the athletes he works with. He is passionate about pushing each skier to reach their fullest potential, blending high expectations with a deep commitment to athlete growth and development.
